As a wood artist, I try to express a sculptural connection between the physical form, texture, and color with each turned object, enhancing the subtle beauty and dimension that wood possesses. In this, I have found aspects in my art that merge the beauty of nature's simplicity with useful and striking design. My interest in working with wood has been unending for over 50 years. As an artist, it is rare to work with a material that is completely recyclable and sustainable. Like every tree, each work is wholly unique. Incorporating lumber from around the globe, I have begun to craft each piece using a mixture of tradiational and post contemporary styles. Hopefully, I've fashioned something entirely new and enjoyable along the way.
