Applying a combination of skills I have developed over the years and along varied and eclectic career paths, I create original mixed media works. I utilize woods and resins, acrylics and oils, papers and paens, saws and drills, knives and blades, nails and glue, and even time and temperature to form my art.
Texture, color, form and image are the elemental building blocks of my work. Each of these original works consists of a minimum of 20 layers. Color is achieved through a combination of oil and water based mediums and by the variety of transparence as each individual layer is built upon each other. Form springs forth from the workshop, where the robust feel of power tools counterbalance the delicate work of creating images by applying pigment to paper.
