Jewelry
I combine my jewelry with my own handmade ceramic pieces and precious gems, silver, gold and other metals. This work is abstract and influenced by the forms of abstract painting as well as textures and shapes from city life. Born in New York City, I see beauty in the decayed and haphazard elements around me. One’s eye is drawn through my pieces as it would be through a painting, going from element to element and through peaks and valleys of texture.
My other jewelry work: The Line Drawing series possesses the liveliness of the quickly drawn line. The City Textures series is a study in contrasts, bold forms created by the delicate lines of crocheted wires.
